Teenage divas be like: "My sister's sixteen. We are best friends but living with her is tough. I won't lie I have suffered some difficult people, but she takes the biscuit. Her hormones seem to give her a permanent aggression level of 11, which is reserved just for siblings.  Don't wear her clothes, don't touch her clothes, don't look at her clothes, and never get the same clothes!"

That's why we make items that can be personalized to such a degree, no one can ever have exactly the same. That solves at least one of those issues. But I guess My Chemical Romance say it best in the song Teenagers:  

They said, "All teenagers scare the livin' shit out of me"
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So, darken your clothes, or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
