Collection: Art Nouveau Collection
Art Nouveau is an ornamental style of art that flourished between about 1890 and 1910 throughout Europe and the United States. It is characterized by its use of a long, sinuous, organic line inspired by plants and flowers as well as geometric patterns. Art Nouveau was aimed at modernizing design by breaking down the traditional distinction between fine arts (especially painting and sculpture) and applied arts. It was most widely used in interior design, graphic arts, furniture, glass art, textiles, ceramics, jewelry and metal work.
